Procurement Pilot
Terminus M5 Negotiation decisioning
Part of Synlogica Terminus
Terminus M5 runs supplier negotiation rounds as multiple equivalent simultaneous offers instead of one price ladder, with your real alternative stated in time and inventory rather than assumed. Built for API and excipient procurement, where supplier qualification is the binding constraint.
The problem
Negotiation decisioning
When the supplier is qualified and the alternative is eighteen months of requalification, a price negotiation is not a negotiation. The buyer walks in with a target and no stated alternative; the supplier knows it. The playbook exists — MESO framing, a qualified BATNA — but it lives in a training slide, not in the round.
What it does
- 01 Builds each round as a set of equivalent offers — price, volume, term, payment — so the supplier reveals what they value instead of anchoring on one number.
- 02 States your BATNA in the units that matter: months of inventory, time to requalify, cost of a second source — and updates it as the round moves.
- 03 Records every offer, response and rationale as a decision package, so procurement can defend the outcome and reuse the pattern.
Who it is for
Procurement and supply-chain teams negotiating APIs, excipients and critical materials with qualified suppliers. In pilot; until it ships, this work runs with people, using the same playbook.
Where it stands
Pilot Pilot — in use with early customers. Scope, data and success criteria are agreed per pilot, and we say what is production and what is prototype before you ask.
Key capabilities
Terminus M5
- 01
Unified negotiation inbox
API supplier price claims, transport RFQs and commodity alerts in one worklist, with a rollout checklist that reports readiness from live data.
- 02
Price claims with outcomes
Every supplier price-increase request registered, argued and closed with an outcome, so avoided increases and cost avoidance are measured, not remembered.
- 03
Commodity feeds and alerts
Price series mapped to substances with scheduled alerts and a price outlook per substance, explained with the events behind it.
- 04
Contracts, BOM cost drivers and evidence packs
Supplier contracts and priced bills of material give the negotiation its facts; an evidence pack PDF goes to the supplier with the claim.
- 05
Package negotiations and market intel
Multiple offers negotiated as one package, with market intelligence delivered only through the intel service — never a model called from the decision path.
Three decisions, one engine
Where regulated teams lose time and money
Three decision domains, each a Terminus module sharing one governed decision framework — so rules, versioning and the audit trail behave identically whether the question is a temperature excursion, a freight tender or a supplier price.
Quality
Temperature excursions assessed with Arrhenius + Monte-Carlo against the product's stability model — a recommendation with stated uncertainty, not a reviewer's guess.
See Terminus M4 →Transport
Tender leakage measured across SKU × lane × month, lanes scored by tail-risk — so spot-freight inflation is caught before invoices reconcile.
See Terminus M1 →Negotiation
MESO playbooks for API procurement — simultaneous-equivalent offers framed against a qualified BATNA when supplier qualification is the binding constraint.
See Terminus M5 →Terminus M4 is being validated under Synlogica's Integrated Management System (IMS) — ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 27001 (information security) and ISO 42001 (AI management) — on top of its GAMP 5 Category 4 lifecycle.
IMS certification target Q4 2026The same foundation as every Synlogica application
Every application in the portfolio carries the same controls, so an inspector who has seen one knows how to read the next.
- Versioned records — a record can be superseded, never silently altered.
- Electronic signature on every controlled step.
- An audit trail an inspector can follow, hash-chained end to end.
- Runs on your own tenant, hosted in the EU.
